St. Louis Park City Art Lab connects local artists with the community through a series of free workshops that will allow participants to explore tools and materials, develop artistic sensibilities, and create an artwork for display.

Dreamy Book Arts
March 22, 29, April 5 &12, 6-8:30 p.m.
Monkey Bridge Arts
Work with local artist, Sheila Asato, to create your own dream inspired books! In this class you will learn the basics of bookbinding, how to use tools, sew signatures, fold an accordion properly and make several simple covers. Once you have learned the basic book structures, you will be able to start making your own dream books that open in unexpected ways, pop-up, and more. By the end of this class, you will have several small, handmade books to take home with you and well-deserved sense of pride and satisfaction.
City Art Lab with Stacia Goodman:
Mosaics from Scrap Wood
August 11 & 18, 9-11 a.m.
Work with local mosaic artist, Stacia Goodman, to learn the artist’s unique method of making mosaics from upcycling small wood scraps and tile. No grouting required! Participants are encouraged to bring their own small scraps (no bigger than your hand), old wooden blocks, clothes pins, etc. (painted and rustic preferred). Other materials will be provided.

Fun with Watercolors
July 14, 21, & 28, 9-11 a.m.
Various SLP Parks
Work with local artist, Ricci Keeler, to learn and have fun with watercolors and other media (colored pencils, watercolor markers, caran dache crayons, pastels, graphite). Participants will work in three different local parks, working both inside and outside, drawing on the area's natural beauty for inspiration. No experience is required, and all materials will be provided.
